Sofiane Sahraoui is Senior Advisor in charge of consulting and research at the Institute of Public Administration of Bahrain (BIPA). He participated in the foundation of the MENAPAR (Middle East & North Africa Initiative for Public Administration Research) network; a regional group affiliated with the UNDP and International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) of which he is Director of Research and Executive Coordinator. He is General Secretary of the Board for the Master of Public Management; hosted by the University of Bahrain and codeveloped between BIPA, ENA and Aix-Marseille University.
Sofiane is Vice-President MENA and sits on the Board of Management of the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) as well as co-chair of its working group on “Public policy, decision-making and implementation.” He was designated as General Rapporteur of the 2013 Congress of IIAS/IASIA and the 2017 IASIA-MENAPAR conference. He is regularly invited as a keynote speaker in local, regional, and international events.
He has published a book and more than 40 research articles in leading academic journals and conference proceedings and speaks regularly at international professional gatherings.
